Coorg has many verdant trekking routes in the midst of forests and hills, and it!!!s best to go in the months from October to February. Some of the known trails are in the hills of Brahmagiri, where you could trek your way to the Irrupa Falls. You could also consider trekking to Pushpagiri, the second higest peak of Kodagu and Tadiandamol (the highest peak).

Thadiandamol

The highest peak (5729 ft above the sea level) is known as the trekkers paradise. Thadiyandamole mountain and its sourroundings is considered as one of the micro hotspot of bio-diversity in South India. You can watch breathtaking views of Arabian sea and Kerala coast. Trekking distance 15 kms to & fro; 50 kms from Madikeri (Near Kakkabe)

Pushpagiri

Pushpagiri is the second highest mountain (5626 ft above the sea level) in Kodagu. Trekkers can cross to Subramanya, in Dakshina kannada district from Pushpagiri Range. Since, this mountain comes under the jurisdiction of Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary prior permission from the Department of Forest is necessary for trekking. Trekking Distance 12 Kms to the top and 15 kms towards Subramanya.

Kote Betta

This is the third highest peak in Kodagu District (5400 ft above sea level) Trekking distance 14 kms to and fro; 22 kms from Madikeri (Near Madapura)

Igguthappa Kundu

Situated near the Padi Igguthappa temple, Kakkabe. Trekking distance is 12 kms; 40 kms from Madikeri.

Brahmagiri

Another Wildlife Sanctuary near Nagarahole National Park. Irupu Rameshwara Temple and Irupu Falls are situated nearby. As the mountain comes under Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary area, prior permission from the Department of forests in necessary. Trekking distance 24 kms; 80 kms from Madikeri (Near Srimangala)

Nishanimotte

The highest peak in the Galibeedu range near Madikeri (4395 ft above sea level) Trekking distance 12 kms; 6 kms from Madikeri.

Thunga Pare

The highest peak in Talacauvery mountain range (4400 ft above sea level). As the mountain comes under Talacauvery Wildlife Sanctuary prior permission from Department of Froest is necessary for trekking. Trekking distance 16 kms to and fro; 50 kms from Madikeri. Chomakandu Highest peak in Udumbe region, near Napoklu. Trekking distance 16 kms; 55 kms from Madikeri.

Gaddige Siddeshwara

Highest mountain in Maldare mountain range. Trekking distance 8 kms; 45 kms from Madikeri (Near Maldare, Siddapura)
