Noo Puttu ( Sring Hoppers )

Nool Puttu is a traditional South Indian dish made from rice flour and coconut. Here is a recipe for making Nool Puttu:


  1. 1 cup of rice flour
  2. 1 cup of grated coconut
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Water


In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, grated coconut, salt, and enough water to form a soft dough.

Divide the dough into small balls.

Take a steamer and place the balls of dough into the steamer basket.

Steam the dough for 10-15 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Serve hot with coconut milk or any accompaniment of your choice.
