In a large bowl, whisk the yoghurt until it is smooth and creamy.
In a separate pan, heat the oil and add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, dried red chilies, and asafoetida. Cook until the dal turns golden brown.
Add the chopped mangoes to the yoghurt and pour the seasoning over the top. Stir to combine.
