Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna and Codagu.com Expand Dustbin Initiative to 100 Across Napoklu

Madikeri, June 9: Following the encouraging public response to the installation of 50 dustbins across Napoklu, Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna, in collaboration with Codagu.com, has expanded the initiative by increasing the total number of dustbins to 100, extending the cleanliness campaign to include local businesses, commercial establishments, and additional public institutions, including the Napoklu Police Station.

The expansion comes after residents, community organizations, educational institutions, and business owners welcomed the first phase of the initiative, which focused on schools, colleges, places of worship, women's support groups, and other important community touchpoints. The positive response received from various sections of society encouraged organizers to widen the program's reach.

Under the second phase, dustbins are being installed at shops, commercial establishments, service providers, public offices, and other high-footfall locations throughout Napoklu. The inclusion of local businesses reflects a broader vision of making cleanliness a shared responsibility involving every section of society. The Napoklu Town Panchayat Administration has also extended its support to the initiative and will ensure that the garbage collected in these dustbins is picked up every morning, helping maintain cleanliness and ensuring the long-term success of the program.
